🚨NEW PAPER🚨 A wheat chromosome segment substitution line series supports characterization and use of progenitor genetic variation Excellent new paper led by #NIAB's Tally Wright, Fiona Leigh and Richard Horsnell with support from others➡️acsess.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/tp… #OpenAccess

Always proud to represent Niab Science and be part of such a great team! Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Monogram Network

We are excited to offer a 10-week fully funded Royal Society of Biology undergraduate studentship in summer 2023 investigating the resistance to #Septoria in synthetic wheat Niab in Cambridge with Anisa Blower and Tally Wright. Apply by 30th April 2023 rsb.org.uk/get-involved/g…

Interested in using R programming to explore diversity capture in plant breeding? Then take a look at this PhD opportunity, which is a collaboration between Niab Science KWS UK Ltd and @plantsci.

Exciting news! Bethany Love has published her first paper from her PhD, exploring spike cytokinin levels in wheat. See Bethany's tweet for more details.

Our work with Tally Wright is another example of such a collaboration. Together with Tally we are trying to assess the utility of genomic prediction to help us make better use of pre-breeding resources such as the NIAB synthetic nested populations.

In our next #IWGSC webinar, Tally Wright Tally Wright from Niab Science will discuss the application of quantitative genetics to uncover diversity-enriched wheat’s potential for breeding improvement. 04 December, 11:00 AM EST / 5:00 PM CET Register now: tinyurl.com/mrxfnr3n
