The LA uprising reveals, not for the first time, the moral bankruptcy at the heart of the Democratic Party. Note their muted response. They cannot support the anti-ICE protests, which is why you have these unbearable statements invoking MLK that are only ever trotted out to tell

Funny how the Civil Rights movement’s presentation of itself didn’t stop King from being assassinated or being targeted by a years-long FBI campaign, or prevent the majority of Americans from viewing the movement as being more hurtful than helpful to its cause.

Not saying the CR movement failed. I'm saying it's inaccurate to attribute its success to how participants presented themselves. The movement succeeded despite its poor real-time perception by most everyday people & elites alike. Respectability wasn't the key to its success.

He was literally just asking questions and they manhandled him. Wake the fuck up liberals. This is a fascist government in action and you all are crying about the protestors.

If anyone doubts that the Trump Administration is a fascist government, right here shows us that our democracy is under attack.

This Sheriff is announcing that he and his officers intend to break the law in order to brutalize and kill those they deem protesters. He should be immediately fired. This is fascist rhetoric.

I find tweeting or talking or trying to explain things completely useless. I mean we are being ruled by genocide lovers, we have no voice over any decisions they make, and they love blood. That’s all. There is no reasoning left.

Great piece on the politics and effects of protests. Featuring quotes from Hahrie Han ķ•œ ķ•˜ 리 Omar Wasow | @[email protected] and ya boy. Here’s my quote, about media and social media incentives to make protest just another part of the campaign horserace rather than highlighting the underlying policy conflict

That this person is among the loudest antiwar voices in Congress is a colossal failure on the Democrats’ part. Unbelievable.

Starving people in a concentration camp, then letting tiny amount of food in, then shooting hundreds of desperate people dead when they try to get the food—it’s the most sick, evil shit many have ever seen. We see what’s happening and will never look at things the same way again.

It will be a catastrophic failure of Democratic leadership if they allow the Jewish Space Lasers congresswoman to become the leading anti-war voice in America.

Israel has ā€œnormalizedā€ so much barbarity and cruelty against Palestinians that now opening fire on and killing Palestinians desperate for basic food, on a daily basis, is not even a blip in our collective consciousness. It doesn’t matter what pseudo mea culpas we see, how many
