Great to speak to the Business and Trade Committee today on our programme of change and how we are speaking for biz on the issues that matter to our society and economy. Thanks to all the colleagues and members who have got us here and to Darren Jones MP and the committee for having us.

Congratulations to Ed Conway on the launch of his book, I’m a proud owner. Putting down another read of LOTR to get stuck into what he’s promised is a funny and educational look into the materials that make or break our economy and climate. Can’t wait to laugh and learn.

I would have loved this from the The Social Mobility Foundation when first applying for jobs. As a first generation immigrant, the only help we had was whichever older cousin/sibling had a go first, then you help out the ones who come after. If you can spare some time: tinyurl.com/mryru6mt

🥳🥳🥳Poisowood is one of my all time faves and loved Demon also. Highly recommend it. She’s right about the power of literature too; reading has always been my way of winding down and entering another world. Though not quite hitting my two books a week over the last few months..

Oh sure, you’re cute and asleep now, perhaps you can try that at 4am rather than howling for breakfast as soon as the sun starts coming up? I’m long past the stage of kids waking me up, and have entered the senile cat stage. Help.

The face of someone who ran a lesson with 90 kids but I survived. They know more about the climate and politics than I did - they are actually out future. I’ve set them off to be heard loudly, quietly and by telling their grown ups what to do. Sorry about that.

If true, this will be hugely welcome to the business community. UK Horizon association is key for CBI members across all sectors and will strengthen the UK's R&D ecosystem. We hope a final agreement can be made next week to give a much needed boost to British innovation.

Incredibly proud of all the work that’s gone into this progress and everyone involved. Organisations going through change should be judged on actions not words so here’s all the action we’re taking.

Great news. We're in a global race to electrification and with investment like this, the UK can be a leader. Growth puzzle not all about money - it's access to talent, skills, good regulation, policy certainty. UK<>Biz collaboration is key, net zero is how the economy grows.

It’s all about green, taking action and realising that opportunity. You’re going to hear me saying that a lot up to budget and beyond. Even at the weekends with my kids backstage. Side note: Never been quite so muddy on stage before.

Solidarity with everyone now back to school - let the overly complicated hair styles, countless emails and general juggle commence! And if the wrong shoes are the only thing that was incorrect today, I’m taking that as a win. Of course the shoes that fit last week don’t fit now.
