I have participated in jail support before but it wasn’t until today that I realized how big of an impact it has. When I was finally let out and saw comrades outside with snacks & water & was able to get hugs & cry on shoulders I felt so safe. It’s truly us who keeps us safe.

NYPD Officers will order protesters to get on the sidewalk, and then instigate by grabbing a person who was standing on the sidewalk and arresting them.

City governments criminalizing homelessness and throwing out the IDs, birth certificates, and passports of people who live on the streets every week is going to mean some unhoused people who are US Citizens stand a real chance of being deported under this administration.

This makes at least 7 deaths in Rikers in 2025 so far. The first 5 were in the first 6 weeks of the year. FORTY people have died in Rikers under Eric Adams. FORTY.
