Wednesday Archive Day. This picture taken in 1984 shows the River Wandle at Phipps Bridge. It shows the two channels that go from Phipps Bridge towards Morden Hall Park. One of the channels was cut by John Antony Rucker to serve the bleaching fields for his calico print works.
