Having a baby = big change in identity. It's not becoming A Mother but becoming A Person With A Baby On A Plane/Train/Bus that feels biggest. People are famously tolerant of babies on planes though, right? Everyone will be real on the bus like they were when I was pregnant?

Baby's first holiday! We've arrived at the airport for our 6am flight to find they've oversold the plane and we're on standby for a flight we booked 10 months ago. What happened to the thing where they offer you loads of money to fly a different day?

Ok, I've thought about it and I'm angry with British Airways. We were put on standby due to overbooking. Despite more than enough seats available in the end, we were still denied boarding. Why? Why did they take off with empty seats, leaving a couple and infant at the gate?

It's not just about a delay or having to organise a new flight with BA. It's the hours of admin drag after, trying to work through their buggy AF online forms, emails with broken links and ages on hold. I'd love to charge my hourly freelance rate on this incredibly dull project.
