What the Chief Rabbi is doing here is linking the actions of the state of Israel to all Jewish people, something that has undeniably fuelled extremism and hatred against Jews

In Sept 2022 Richard Sanders produced an Al Jazeera documentary (full disclosure: I was in it) which documented four egregious errors in Panorama's "Is Labour anti-semitic?" documentary. Sanders' expose of BBC malpractice greeted with blanket omerta by British mainstream media.

The fact that this editorial blunder over Trump’s speech is the final straw - rather than, say, refusal to air the Gaza medics documentary - is entirely absurd. The BBC so often caves to the right wing press. Criticisms only gain purchase if they appear in the Telegraph.

The lads here seem to think this was a bullshit stitchup closely orchestrated between vexatious internal wreckers and the British press, seeking to cause as much damage as possible, for political reasons. But didn’t we establish this is an insane thing that could not happen?

This has been apparent to the left for a decade - that the media explicitly works to police ‘acceptable’ politics based on their own class and qualifiers - and now it’s finally OK to talk about it openly after loudly calling us cranks and conspiracy theorists.

Many of the people who worked on this got laid off but still get profit share and would like a hit on their resume as they move forward - so we will be buying.
