AAA Salt Lake has to use a position player (Yolmer Sánchez) to pitch the 9th inning IN A SAVE SITUATION with a 6-5 lead because they have no pitchers remaining. The trickle down effect of short starts in the majors, leading to a depleted pitching staff at AAA.

I asked the Angels if team management is planning to cover Rio's medical costs. They said they'd like to keep what they're doing private. Angels players/staff like Kikuchi, Adell, Moore, Kochanowicz, Teodosio, Campero — and many MiLB players in multiple orgs — have donated.

When the season ends, the Angels are gonna try and push the “we finished X games better than we did in 2024” narrative. That’ll be true, but keep in mind the Angels: • Sold at the deadline in ‘24, but didn’t in ‘25. • Were T-1st in total days on IL in ‘24, and are 21st in ‘25.

FINAL: The Angels finish 72-90. Another feeble record in a long line of them. They struck out 1,627 times this year — the second-most for a team in MLB history. Potentially lots of changes coming, but who knows. The Angels fanbase deserves better than this.
