Congratulations to George Anderson, Meredith Austin and Emma Soper for winning the Northern Ireland Area award in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators! Emma Soper was also named National Runner Up for her poetry translation. Well done to our young linguists! 😀👏

Today in Languages Club we had our inaugural International Food Festival! We had delicious dishes from Germany, India, Poland and Japan! Our judges had a very tough job choosing a winner. Congratulations to Aniela in Year 8 who won with delicious Silesian Dumplings from Poland!

Year 11 geographers and historians got the chance to dig up the past and put their fieldwork skills into practice at the Moira Demense Community Dig with Lisburn Museum, QUB and CAPNI. We found clay pipes, bones and pieces of flint! Well done everyone."

Fantastic way to end our summer of sport. Our Senior Girls have won the Schools Cup Cricket final against MCB. SUS scored 133 in their 20 overs. MCB were 82 for 9 in reply. Congratulations to all involved. 🏏👏👏

The school community is greatly saddened at the death this morning of much loved former Headmaster, John Young. The school extends deepest sympathies to his wife, Margaret, and family.
