Spent today driving through SE Georgia surveying damage from Hurricane Helene. No words to describe what has happened here. Myself and UGA Extension Agents are doing everything we can to get data to show our growers need help!! As always, working closely with Georgia Cotton Commission.

We had a very busy last month with grants and a lot of extension activities at UGA Griffin Campus. Andrew Ogden talked about lab research and breeding program with members of Georgia Master Gardener Association Annual Conference. We had the privilege to organize our first CEA Growerβs Visit at UGA Griffin Campus. Lots of excellent talks and enthusiasm for team work was impressive and motivating. We look forward to make this an annual event. Cheers to Andrew Ogden who did a great job in organizing this event.

Such a nice experience talking about Plant Breeding with High School students. They were happy to extract DNA from strawberry fruit using household stuffs. I love academia for providing such wonderful opportunities. Looking forward for more events UGA Griffin Campus UGA CEA Breeding Lab
