This isn't just unfair. If we don't get to the bottom of how these deals were made, we won't be able to save people when the next crisis hits, whatever and whenever that might be. PPE procurement deals were a matter of life and death. From the voices of our members:

Today at UK Covid-19 Inquiry, Matt Hancock was asked if he knew of any other country in the world that set up a VIP-Lane. He repeatedly refused to answer before saying that VIP-Lanes during pandemics are an 'inevitable part of life'. The answer he was looking for was no.

Matt Hancock describes promoting a PPE offer from his pub landlord, Mr Bourne, as 'impeccable behaviour'. Mr Bourne was awarded a £40m contract. He then subcontracted out the work. Fortunately for Mr Bourne, UK Covid-19 Inquiry has chosen not hear evidence from any Suppliers.
