Just received Oxford Nanopore Ultra-Long DNA Sequencing Kit. Going to have some fun @GIH_UQ this year..
Despite of power outage during my ultra-long reads Oxford Nanopore sequencing, a decent data (>12Gb, N50 >100kb with few +1mb reads) was generated from my test run. Happy to replicate Circulomics's protocol for uHMW DNA extraction and Nanobind Library prep @GIH_UQ
My in-house HMW total DNA extraction protocol bit.ly/3N9cr8v works great with different plant species but recently I had to scratch my head a lot for one plant sample. Finally,tuned protocol for nutty 🌿sample and happy Oxford Nanopore MinION seq 14Gb N50 ~31kb in 24h @GIH_UQ
