Interesting PA workshop in Forbes run by Farmlink for GRDC. Example of second knock guidance on fleabane guided by drone mapping. Transfer into section control boom for 5m2 target. Over 75% reduction in coverage cost $3-4/ha.

Well done Bill,Mogong RFS captain, for organising some helpers for Matt who farms on the Mandagery Ck above Eugowra. Water went through 1.5m higher than previously recorded. Still a lot to do outside the devastated towns.

We moved our bags to a central area with good access this year after having trouble accessing bags in the paddock last year.Slower and more labour to fill from a truck.About 8t per truck/auger move. Neighbour suggested 10ft pvc off auger to get more t per move. Any other ideas?

No he’s not repairing a pipe. Big thanks to Ian Packer and Wooly for their insights on the wet areas of our paddocks. MLL looking at an area too wet to traffic in 23 grazed cover crop with roots to 80cm not drinking enough yet.

125mm of rain 10 days ago causing a few problems. Red steer being drafted in to help dry out paddocks for canola. Tracks and horsepower are a wonderful thing.
