You can be assured that tendentious memo by Michael Prescott, and the co-ordinated combination of the Telegraph, Mail, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and the White House means that the BBC hit job has been long in the planning, and has some insider help

It's November, & you know what that means! Yup. Time to start thinking about ordering your holiday eels! Henry III knew. In November of 1256 the king ordered up 5,000 small eels from Ely, to be sent to him for the Jan. 6 feast of St. Edward. Only the best for the Confessor.

Sure, monks loved their eels. But so did the nuns! In 1235 Henry III granted a charter to the nuns of Godstow Abbey that included the rights to local eel-rents. Or, rather, some rights. Turns out, the nuns couldn't get eels all year round...just in the autumn. 1/2

We should never forget the plain obvious: those who died during the height of the pandemic have no voice. They can't speak of how they died, and their medical notes are mostly confidential. Our narrative is dominated by survivors and legislators.

(Lost count of how many Nuremberg threats I’ve had long ago.) They can’t bear our testimony because it gives the cast iron lie to their rubbish about
