!! She sets down her pike against the wall, tossing her towel over her shoulder. "Hey there. Hopefully you didn't have to search too long for me."

Well. That's certainly one way to try and get her attention. It's a little while before Halcorr comes out of the mess hall, a lunch box tucked under her arm, when she nearly bumps into Amelia.

She offers a hand to steady her, and then pauses a hairsbreadth away from Amelia's shoulder. After last night, their boundaries were tentative, fragile. "Hi. You know there are better places to stand other than the doorway, right?"

Halcorr paused, and then rubbed the back of her neck, gaze averting elsewhere. "Eh. I don't think I'm really one you should be apologizing to, but thank you nonetheless. I'm sort of used to getting a few odd jabs here and there, so really. It's fine."

"Oh. Well. Thank you." Amelia was certainly hard to read sometimes, but her genuineness still seemed to catch Halcorr off guard. Her cheeks reddened and she waved the sentiment away. "If you need help tracking anyone down, feel free to ask. There were. Quite a few people."

"Oh. Right. How is she by the way? I know.. the celebration itself meant a lot to her." Halcorr hadn't been by in a while, and would likely take a lot longer considering their less than favorable start. Ven seemed to tolerate Amelia at the least.

"Mm. I hope it isn't Alax." Her voice was contemplative, quiet before giving Amelia her full attention again. "Give her time, she'll cool down. And with any luck, maybe she'll consider running the Life Day celebrations again next year."
