Thank you to everyone involved with Murray-Calloway County Hospital’s new regional cancer center, which will provide key treatment and services to individuals in the years to come. Saturday’s grand opening and ribbon cutting was a very good day for the community and region.

We had a great Ag Day for our Leadership Murray class. I enjoyed learning more about the technological advances, spray drones and digital solutions to assist farmers, as well as the history of farming in this area. Thank you to everyone who planned and provided the day for us!

Progress toward a new School of Veterinary Medicine at Murray State University continues to be made, as House Bill 400 was passed by the Kentucky House of Representatives on Feb. 15 after advancing from the House Agriculture Committee on Feb. 7. Read more: bit.ly/42FrwYy

Our Leadership Murray class had a great visit to Frankfort, learning about Kentucky’s state capitol and seeing the passing of House Bill 400 as progress continues toward a new School of Veterinary Medicine at Murray State. Thank you to everyone who advocates for our region!

We received a treasure trove of photos mailed from the son of a Murray State University student in the 1920’s. Photos include Lovett Auditorium, Quad, founder/President Rainey T. Wells, and a unique view from Wells Hall looking toward what appears to be a barn in the distance. Wow!

Great to have our Murray State University students back on campus. Enjoyed assisting with move-in with my sidekick, Matthew. Thank you to Murray State Soccer for spending some time with our kiddos tonight!
