In which universe is this a good take? They're talking about dehumanizing characters... and right after analyzing them? How does that work? You cannot analyze a character's behaviour without treating it like a human being. That's the entire point of a complex character.

if I’m discussing an ethical and moral choice of a character as part of my analysis and you automatically assume I’m treating that character as a person, that seems like more of a self issue than anything.
