#Moana2 reference #FAIL!! In #CanIGetACheeHoo I had to make #Maui spin flaming objects like #Polynesian dancers spin fire knives. I did lots of research to make sure it was right and honoring the culture. I tried it and realized I should leave it to the pros. Disney Animation

I’ve been lucky to animate a few Disney moms. My wife #RebeccaPerez was also an animator on #Encanto with us and she used her experience as a mom to bring loving, supportive authenticity to her scenes with Mirabel and Antonio and Abuela.
