Wow! I think we have future Engineers and Graphic Designers in Year 6. What amazing exploding diagrams they drew for their Shop-a-Bot designs. They really visualised how their designs would be put together. #EngEdChallenge SEERIH.

St Joseph's Mini Vinnies took our donations, for the SVP Christmas Appeal, to Salford Cathedral. They ask us all to give time and prayers to those who need love and support at this time.

On Friday, Year 6 completed their robotics challenge with a computing session. They programmed the BeeBots to travel from the shop to the house avoiding the obstacles. They all really enjoyed the activity. Engineering Educates SEERIH.

The children in Year 4 had a fantastic time exploring factor pairs during their lesson. They engaged in various activities that helped them identify and understand the concept of factor pairs, using both hands-on tools and collaborative problem-solving.

The Feast of Epiphany celebrates Jesus being revealed to the Wise Men after their long journey following the star. During the assembly we had an opportunity to reflect on our own journey with Jesus and what gifts we could offer Him.

Year 4 children explored who owned the content on the World Wide Web (or ‘web’ for short). We explored a variety of websites and investigated what we could and could not do with the content on them. We also related this to principles of ownership and sharing in the real world.

This week's assembly helped children to understand the significance of Jesus’ Baptism and what it means for us all in entering the Kingdom of God. Children explored the symbols of Baptism and were offered a time to invite the Holy Spirit into their hearts.

On Thursday, children in Year 4 visited Manchester Museum. We met characters lost in time, chose a character and took on a series of challenges to help send them back home. How? By gathering enough energy from museum objects to open a time portal! We had so much fun!

This week’s Gospel shows Jesus’ first public miracle at a family wedding. When the wine ran out, Mary’s faith-filled response helped others to believe in Jesus. This assembly invited children to take any problems to Jesus, follow His instructions and believe in Him.

Children in Year 4 were conducting research to gather detailed information about Brazil, including its culture, geography, history, food, sports and landmarks.

During Computing lesson, year 4 children identified which images have been edited to convey something which is not true. We discussed why some information on the World Wibe Web may not be accurate and how information can be spread quickly and implications of this.

I Have Seen The Promise When Simeon and Anna saw baby Jesus in the Temple, in faith they recognised Him as the Messiah, the fulfilment of God’s promise. Children came to know that Jesus was the light that led us to joy, peace and truth.

We took part in an interactive storytelling workshop with Tọlá Okogwu, author of Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun. The event celebrated National Storytelling Week 2025

Let Down Your Nets The Gospel this week describes how Simon Peter, James and John were compelled to follow Jesus after witnessing a miraculous catch of fish. This assembly reminded children that they too are invited to follow Jesus and become part of God’s family.
