We’re excited to start our first trial for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ Fairchild challenge! We planted 3 varieties of radish seeds (Cherry Belle, Red Head & Roxanne) and are looking forward to their germinating 🌱

All of our radish seeds germinated last week and we spent time cutting off the extra planted seed. Later this week we will be collecting our first set of data for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ @FairchdChallnge 🌱

Started the first data collection measuring width, depth, and height of our radish varieties for Growing Beyond EarthⓇ @FairchdChallnge last week. They are growing nice and healthy! 🌱

Last week we collected our second set of data and our plants were thriving but after the long weekend the leaves were wilted 😔 We’re hoping that they will come back to life later today 🌱 Growing Beyond EarthⓇ @FairchdChallnge

We started trial 2 for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ @FairchdChallnge and we have changed the photoperiod that our cherry belle radish cultivars will be exposed to light.

Week three of data collection for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ @FairchdChallnge were disappointed that our cherry belle radish variety isn’t thriving as well compared to trial 1. Next up is harvest day!

Our Misome plants are growing beautifully in week 3 under white light for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ Fairchild Challenge Next week we will be harvesting our first trial and begin planning for trial 2 🌱

Today we harvested our tasty Misome plants for the Growing Beyond EarthⓇ Fairchild Challenge we were pleased with how quickly and hearty the plants grew under the white light condition 🌱

We began trial 2 for Growing Beyond EarthⓇ by reducing the photoperiod and so far our plants have all germinated and are growing great 🌱

Today was harvest day for our second trial Growing Beyond EarthⓇ our plants produced a tasty and flavorful leaf 🥬
