Due to increased demand, we are sharing our new #EverySecondCounts campaign video again. Please take a minute to watch it, it could save a precious life this winter. We are here for you, please before you ring 999, think, is there a threat to life? If not, think 111 online.

I just want to say thank you to everyone North West Ambulance Service for all your efforts so far over the weekend. In the North West alone yesterday we received just short of 25,000 999 and 111 calls. Exceptional efforts from everyone involved in unprecedented times.

We are experiencing a very high number of 111 calls today and our staff are working hard to help. To avoid delays getting through and to receive quicker advice, 111 online has a helpful symptom checker and can direct you to the most appropriate support: 111.nhs.uk
