The recent by-elections in Kenya ve becom a major point of interest, serving as a rehearsal and a clear reflection of what we might face in the upcoming general elections. Yet, instead of strengthening our democracy, we are witnessing worrying levels of violence and intimidation.

People have already lost their lives in Kasipul–HomaBay because of a simple by-election, and the nation moves on as if nothing happened. H.E Rigathi Gachagua has faced repeated attacks that put his life at risk.George Natembea narrowly escaped death from a bullet.

Hon Moses Kuria is nursing serious injuries after the attacks in Mbeere. Abductions and killings are becoming disturbingly common in our country. My questions and concerns are these: 1. Has human life become so cheap that no one seems to care anymore?

2. Are our leaders aware that their actions and rhetoric are slowly dragging us back toward the horrors of the 2007 violence? 3. Why would leaders push the nation toward conflict in the name of power? Who desires to lead a nation reduced to ashes instead of people?

4. People are dying. Do those responsible genuinely believe they can live peacefully with such guilt forever? 5. Why force issues? Why avoid accountability and simple questions? Does this country belong only to a privileged few?

Let us all take a moment to reflect on the direction we are pushing ths nation. Kenya is bigger than politics, bigger than individual ambitions & bigger than temporary interests. We must restore order, uphold humanity, and protect our country before it is destroyed beyond repair.
