Ahead of Saskatchewan Day on Monday, we’re proud to share that Her Honour Bernadette McIntyre, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, is now Honorary Patron of the Sandra Schmirler Foundation. A former Board Chair, she shares Sandra’s roots and passion for tiny champions. 💚

I get it. Clubs were founded not to make money, but to produce communal benefits. They’re non-commercial ventures where members, not the market, resource activities. I like it. I will only say that it’s not easy to sustain the treehouse model (alone) given modern realities.

As you’re planning for curling season, remember this: Curling Clubs are play spaces. You’re in the business of fun. Make being at your facility fun. Plan fun activities. Conduct fun meetings. Have fun yourself (it’s contagious). Fun is your job. #BusinessOfCurling
