George Street Bridge will be closed on Sunday 11 August from 6.30am until 9pm for major resurfacing work. Closures will be in place from the junction with Corporation Road on the eastern side, to the junction with Granville Street and Lower Dock Street on the western side.

It was wonderful to attend the Newport Cathedral this evening for the "Pray with Pride" event, held on the eve of Pride in the Port . The service was incredibly warm and inviting, filled with love and support from everyone present.

Volunteers from St John Ambulance Cymru Newport and surrounding areas provided first aid cover at Glebelands Miniature Railway and the very colourful and lively Pride in the Port. As always we are grateful for their time, they ensured a safe, memorable day for all. #volunteeringwithpride🌈
