Why do so many people quit in the 1st quarter?

I need to think differently.

It seems to me that I need to shift my thinking a little. Applying old methods just won’t get it done today. I need a new perspective.

Show me what someone does with their time, and you will have found their “passion.” By doing, and sticking to something, that something becomes your passion. Do what makes you happy. Be happy with what you do. The heart follows the hand.

Is the reward the outcome or the process? The destination or the journey? Which is the carrot, and which is the prize? If we lived our life recognizing the difference, the fear of failure would no longer be relevant. We would just start, because we love the process.

I have been caught up for a while with finding the “right direction.” The “best new project.” The correct “plan.” The right direction is the one you choose to take. Today! Act. React. Pivot. Repeat.

If Steve Jobs relied on external validation, we wouldn’t have the iPhone or Mac. For how many other amazing things in our world is this true? Don’t wait for the world to tell you to start. Validate yourself by embracing the process. The outcome will take care of itself.

If I have any regrets in life at all, it is that I didn’t take more risks. Don’t let fear and over-thinking hood you back.

Fast noes and slow yeses, make for good decisions.
