Taking in the season in my yard. If your students help their parents in their yards, have them share what they do and pictures of things they grow. I’ve also taken my students to botanical gardens and farms on field trips to build an interest in nature.

As a teacher, it’s not easy to see the “results” of our work because it often takes years to see the successes. That’s why, when I’m working on a project where the results are very tangible, I remember my students are in progress too.
