Very excited to share our pre-print (currently in review) on dynamic changes in single muscle fiber elastic modulus. Incredible work by senior grad student Grace Privett, PhD biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

Team TENDOTIME, Sara Dietz Pedersen and Danielle Steffen, taking a small breather and debrief on how the first baseline measurements test day has gone! ⏰🦵

First one out with Institute of Sports Medicine Copenhagen and Chloé Yeung!

Proud to have my work featured on the cover of Journal of Physiology. You can read my paper on muscle ECM in cerebral palsy here: doi.org/10.1113/JP2859…

A great morning with #MBE2024 discussions and a helpful Danish lesson with Ask Møbjerg 😂

Thanks to a trio of great authors from Institute of Sports Medicine Copenhagen for bringing us this piece from our latest issue! #Exercise entrainment of #musculoskeletal connective tissue clocks (Danielle Steffen Danielle Steffen et al.): ow.ly/gslA50T2bOC

Proud of this team for strong runs from everyone last night 💪 What a fun time DHL Stafetten Kbh!

💥Excited to share the very first publication to come out of our lab!💥 Undergraduates resonate most with the biographies of Scientist Spotlight assignments, increasing their relatability to and positively shifting their stereotypes about scientists: journals.physiology.org/doi/full/10.11…

Thanks you to everyone that came by my poster to chat tendon biology and The FEBS Journal for the prize! It was a joy getting to talk and learn from all the matrix enthusiasts at #MBE2024

In addition to Casper Søndenbroe, there are 3 short presentations selected from abstracts submitted from the institute! It's a great platform for our early career researchers Danielle Steffen Ask Møbjerg and Asta Skovgaard Eriksen to discuss their ongoing research related to ECM!

At the DSMB annual meeting! We have session chair, invited speaker & three selected abstracts for oral presentation 💪 Topics spanning the role of fibroblasts in muscle innervation & injury to influence of exercise on tendons Christian Couppé Danielle Steffen Casper Søndenbroe Ask Møbjerg

In our latest study led by Tang Cam Phung Pham, we found that the mitochondrial (mt) protein SLIRP is a PGC-1α target that regulates mt structure, respiration, and mt-mRNA in muscle. And exercise restored these functions, even with SLIRP disruption and low mt-mRNA! nature.com/articles/s4146…

It was a tendon group double act for this morning’s departmental meeting. Ask Møbjerg and Danielle Steffen gave updates on their ongoing projects and got lots of interested questions and feedback on how to proceed. Stellar jobs and exciting stuff from the both of them 💪🤩

The most welcome type of email to pop into the inbox while finishing up for the holidays: paper online🥳 Fibre type differences in the organisation of mononuclear cells and myonuclei at the tips of human myofibres Christian Christian Høgsbjerg 🙏J Cell Science doi.org/10.1242/jcs.26…
