Today, May 9th, 2025 between 12:30-1:30 pm, the St. Cloud Police Dept in partnership with ISD 742 will be putting on a “Mock Crash” at Tech High School. This week is prom week at Tech and to remind students of the potential effects of distracted or impaired driving.

Out of an abundance of caution & in combination with State and Federal authorities and due to the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight in the Twin Cities, we are asking the public not to attend any planned demonstrations or rallies in St. Cloud today. - Chief Oxton

The organizers for the planned demonstration occurring at 1 pm in St. Cloud have postponed their event due to the ongoing events occurring in the Twin Cities. This is out of an abundance of caution and and effort to promote public safety. The organizers will publicize this also
