If you’re running a self-serve startup, don’t ask customers if they’ll pay or how much. Charge different cohorts different prices and watch conversion rates. Behavior > opinions. What people say vs what they do are two very different things.

we're in a moment where if something is easy to build, people will just build it for themselves. for a startup to succeed it's got to do something better, faster, or with much more depth and insight than any other time in history

most people don't know how to use AI in their daily lives they might have used ChatGPT for one or two things, but they're likely anchored in those use cases there's a HUGE opportunity to make AI even more useful through ready to use tools (whether agents or apps).

this am i was gardening and going back and forth between ChatGPT on what to do next. was a clear use case for glasses+chatgpt, asking things like "should i cut off this vine?" and "how would you repurpose this space for fall?" fumbling between photos and prompts was not it.

here's how I communicate more effectively as a manager w/the help of AI: Upload DISC personality test results (or 1:1 transcripts) to Claude/ChatGPT→ Create an "Executive Coach" project → Get custom advice for talking to each team member based on their style. Boom.

AI’s biggest problem? The blank page. Most people don’t want to vibe-code workflows...they want real solutions. Startups + the app layer are where AI’s value gets unlocked. The pain is huge. The opportunity is bigger. Go build. 🚀

AI products aren’t your grand pappy’s software. You can’t build them the same way. This 🔥 post on Lenny Rachitsky echos a lot of what we’ve learned building Hoop. lennysnewsletter.com/p/why-your-ai-… My 🌶️ take is that hijacking the CD/CI terminology is not the right frame for this

notion mcp+claude seems to always have issues is that bc notion wants customers to use their AI tooling? or just a nascent/buggy integration?

A journalist went to Notion to learn how to vibe code. AI speeds up building. But taste, nuance, & solving human problems can’t be outsourced. Engineers: should you be worried? Yes. Will we need more of you? Also yes. Embrace the duality of this AI moment.

We’ve spent the last two months building a brand-new product almost entirely “agent coded.” Three staff-level engineers guided Claude Code, with less than 5% written by humans. The app now sits at ~100k lines of code (excluding comments and blanks). We’ve likely generated and

It seems like there is not enough of a policy response to the fact that, with 57M miles of data, Waymo’s autonomous vehicles experience 85% less serious injuries & 79% less injuries overall than cars with human drivers. 2.4 million are injured & 40k killed in US accidents a year
