We are very pleased to have Abdur Anwar from the Humar Lab (MatjaĹľ Humar) visit us as part of his research on edible photonic barcodes for food tagging and tracing with FoodTraNet. During his stay he will be working with Prof Graham Turnbull.

Yesterday members of the OSC had the opportunity to listen to and meet 2021 Nobel Prize winner Prof. Sir David MacMillan. Prof MacMillan gave the Irvine Memorial Lecture and spoke about his life and his work on Asymmetric Organocatalysis for which he won his Nobel Prize.

This week Lethy, Ifor, and Graham are attending the Spring Meeting of Materials Research Society (MRS) in Seattle. Ifor presented work on electrically driven lasers, whilst Graham showed how nanoimprinting can control lasers and sensing, and Lethy organised a symposium. #S25MRS
