New paper out on Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal transitions of a new compound with six polymorphs. I’m really excited to see this work published in the J. Am. Chem. Soc.. Dr Elena Simone pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Had a great weekend learning about proposal writing and faculty interview process at ACS P2F workshop. Thanks ACS Grads & Postdocs for the opportunity!

The RSC PPSG online lunchtime seminars series is back from 4th October at 1 pm. Register for free below to hear Zoom talks from Emma McErlean (Queen’s Belfast) and Phillip Jervis (ZSL Institute of Zoology) rsc.org/events/detail/…

An excellent paper on "self-healing of an organic crystal" J. Am. Chem. Soc. from SupraChem@Sureshan Group and Smart Materials Lab. To know what makes a crystal to heal itself, please have a look into this paper.

Very excited to receive an invitation to be a "Discussion Leader" in GRS Gordon Research Conferences #peptidematerials 2025🤩. Looking forward to attend the meeting in January in California!

Received American Chemical Society peer reviewer certificate today. Thanks ACS for the opportunity to review and for valuing the contributions!

Curly & circular crystals: In our article in J. Am. Chem. Soc., we report on crystals that grow in a curled or looped shape. These crystals demonstrate nonlinear optical activity, with second harmonic generation approximately twice that of urea NYUAD Research: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Our first review on self-healing crystals, now in Nature Reviews Chemistry. Discover the mechanisms by which molecular crystals can heal themselves and the methods we can use to study this fascinating phenomenon: Nature Reviews Chemistry NYU Abu Dhabi NYU Chemistry nature.com/articles/s4157…

Happy to receive the best poster award ICCOSS 2025 for my work on "Programming self-assembly dynamic in short peptides".
