NEWS : Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Ltd. (ASHVINI), a Joint Venture of NPCIL (51%) and NTPC Ltd. (49%) to take up nuclear power generation & associated activities. ASHVINI will be a subsidiary of NPCIL & execute the Mahi Banswara project of 4x700 MW PHWR.

"Indian Space Station (Bharatiya Antariksh Station) by 2035 and Indian Landing on the Moon by 2040" GoI approves a slew of Space missions including development of space transportation & infrastructure capabilities. NGLV will have 3x payload capability at 1.5x cost of LVM3.

NGLV will be demonstrated with three development flights with a target of 8 years for completion of development. Human spaceflight program of technology development and demonstration is through eight missions to be completed by December 2028 by launching first unit of BAS-1

To achieve Indian Crewed Lunar Mission ISRO will conduct Four missions under ongoing Gaganyaan Programme by 2026 and develop first module of BAS & four missions for demonstration & validation of various technologies for BAS by December, 2028.

Sigh. Every time I see the trainer I wonder why Navy couldn't order 18 NLCA and fly them off our carriers. That is the real beaut among the LCAs.

NEWS: Unit 7 of the 2x700 MW Rajasthan Atomic Power Project 7 (RAPP-7&8) at Rawatbhata, achieved the important milestone of Criticality on September 19, 2024 at 22:42 hrs, after clearance of First Approach to Criticality by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

RAPP-7 is the 3rd of 16 indigenous PHWRs of 700 MW each, being set up in the country. Criticality of RAPP-7, after smooth operation of 2 700 MW PHWRs- KAPS 3&4 at Kakrapar demonstrates maturity achieved by NPCIL in the design, construction & operation of the indigenous PHWRs.
