Today marks 114 years since the first baby was born in what is now known as Magee Hospital. Named after state Sen. Christopher Magee's mother, Elizabeth, the hospital began as a makeshift facility and has since grown into a state-of-the-art, 380-bed facility with 2,500 employees.
