It was great to share my story of depression & burnout in residency and the future of #wellness in surgery McMaster University last wk. My story focuses on the power of peer-support - it's important in #medicine to not only take care of our patients, but also ourselves and our colleagues!

It’s #BellLetsTalkDay. TBT 2 years ago when I first shared my battle with depression. I am still a work in progress, but the hardest and best thing I did was asking for help. I am grateful for the care I have received CAMH and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre It’s never too late to ask for help
