It’s good to be back! We reviewed and practiced the skills and attitudes from Portrait of a Graduate. Students practiced collaborating by writing a haiku with two different topics drawn at random. 📚✏️🎒

First quarter was a whirlwind. I didn’t have much time to post, but I finally got a chance to post more student work in the classroom today. We ended the quarter with our food truck showcase. It is exhilarating to see kids excited about their work.

I hope we all have that “friend from school.” ✏️📓My students had fun interviewing a partner and creating portrait poems about each other.

Happy Halloween! We had fun solving a mystery today.

What a fun way to kick off one of our final units of the year. I hosted a book tasting in “Starbooks Cafe” ☕️📚🥐Students loved it and it is my hope that we created a lasting memory together. After prioritizing their top choices, reading groups were formed.
