We have people saying β€œwhite woman tears” talking about the dasher who was flashed a white man. We have people saying β€œwhite woman tears” talking about Amber Heard. I am not convinced that patriarchal attitudes cloaked in faux anti-racism aren’t a thing.

the difference here is actually quite complicated: you see nazis were real, killed 11 million people, and inspired generations of hate devils/demons on the other hand, do not exist whatsoever and are only scary to babies

Why exactly do you believe space colonization is impossible? Space travel has been costly because of expendable rockets. Full reusability can reduce costs by orders of magnitude. Physiological issues can be managed with things like centrifugal gravity and radiation shielding.

We left Africa over 70,000 years ago. We developed boats and used them to cross oceans and settle remote islands. We've adapted to every climate, freezing tundra to scorching deserts. Everywhere we've seen, we've gone. We are not blind to the stars.

Hot take: All deep geological repositories we have or are going to build will be future mining sites. The question is really how hard are we going to make things for these future miners.

This quote conveniently never comes with a source attached, and while Hayek was very critical of socialism it's highly unlikely he ever said this considering that he engaged with the work of highly-accomplished socialist economists such as the aforementioned Lange and Taylor.
