Very concerning .NHS England that yet again there is no mention of AHPs. You will not get the care and transformation of services without major investment in more AHPs and more AHP support workers.
Living with long term conditions often involves a lot of work and generally increased hassle. I follow lots of people with #PKU who need a specific diet. How frustrating it must be for people to deal with this sort of thing. Hope you get some better biscuits soon Pauline O'Connor!
The results are in ๐ณ๏ธ Dietitians in 43 NHS Trusts in England will go on strike. Dietitians working in these Trusts voted overwhelmingly to take action against the #NHSPayDeal. This is the 1st time in the BDA Trade Union long history that strike action will go ahead based on pay.

Can British Dietetic Association BDA Trade Union include & explain why The RCN is negotiating a different pay spine for nurses & policy framework. Are #dietitians #AHPs of less value? Have we not experienced the same challenges with recruitment and retention? I donโt understand so #notoaccept
Doctor Chuks Difficult, yes. But very rewarding. I think tbh one of the more difficult aspects of our job is the lack of understanding and integration of the dietetic skill set into mental health care - particularly with regards to nutrition counselling and food relationships in ED care.
Great to see Coeliac_UK highlighting the increased costs of gluten free products. This is a barrier for patients and families living with coeliac disease - especially with the cost of living crisis. coeliac.org.uk/get-involved/cโฆ
We were disappointed to see dietitians associated with unregulated โcoachesโ within The Guardian article. Unregulated individuals providing care to people with physical and mental health vulnerabilities is a cause for concern but sadly not surprising. theguardian.com/society/2023/mโฆ
So proud of our Somerset NHS Foundation Trust dietetic gastro team. Our article received enough downloads to be a #topdownloadedarticle in its journal. โฆea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%โฆ
