Roc (roc-lang.org) is being rewritten in Zig instead of Rust, with a pretty extensive document of "why". Pretty interesting read: gist.github.com/rtfeldman/77fb…

A bunch of alternate icon choices are coming in Ghostty 1.1.1. 😍 You already have the ability to customize the colors of the default Ghostty icon, but these artist-drawn variants are super cool and will help make your Ghostty style more you.

New post! A Descent Into the Vortex In which Oskar Wickström introduces our intentionally non-deterministic testing harness, Vörtex! Complementing DST, it increases coverage with generative testing. Four months old, two bugs (and this is the beginning!) tigerbeetle.com/blog/2025-02-1…

I think the #ziglang community would benefit greatly from some sort of zig upgrade/fix command that automated the process of going from one version to the next sans all of the manual labor involved.

If the Rust community had this mentality more generally, I think I would’ve been more inclined to it (I still simply dislike the syntax subjectively, though). Steve says his experience was kindness that brought him there and for me it was unfortunately the opposite. Snobbery

Just keeping an open mind. During a time when competing usurpers want you to run and hide from c, a true story of how curl keeps its c codebase reliable and maintainable. Spoiler alert, it’s mostly what you’d do with any other language daniel.haxx.se/blog/2025/04/0…
