Varsity Softball (12-6) defeated Lake Shore 4-0 Saturday night. The night was a special one with "Mia being Mia" hitting a two home run in her first at bat, her 6th of the season.

Bella Hill and Avery Smolarek were tough on the mound for the Co-Division Champions giving up three hits and striking out a combined eight batters. The girls travel to Grand Island for their last game of the season today with the first pitch at 5:30. #WildcatPride

Depew wins qtrfinal vs Springville. Mia Vannelli 1-2 2b SB 2 Runs, 2BB’s started the 5th inning ralley. Doody, Hill, Domino Rogowski (2R), Smolarek (2-4 2b) all had hits in 6 run inning. Smolarek (5 RBI’s) base clearing 2b in 6th to clinched it! Semi’s vs Akron Tuesday 5pm.

Softball (14-8) lost to Fredonia (20-0) in the Class B-1 Sectional Finals by a score of 2-0. The girls ran into a buzzsaw in Fredonia's pitcher Jordan Lucas who will be attending the University of Albany. Bella Hill had a strong game on the mound giving up only six hits.

Although the result was not what we all wanted, the girls had a tremendous season. A special shoutout to Senior Mia Vannelli who ended the year with a .517 average, seven home runs and 35 RBI's, all team highs.

Thankful to lead the Depew Softball Program. So many improvements on and off the field. Most importantly, the way the team supported each other through out the season. It really showed in our playoff run!! Proud of you all! Enjoy Mia Vannelli last HR run in our uniform.

We are heartbroken tonight after learning that WNY Baseball Hall of Fame member and Depew coach Dennis Crawley has passed away. Dennis was a class act who truly loved the game of baseball and shared that love with anyone who met him. Our condolences go out to the Depew
