Not quitting alcohol with your first attempt doesn’t say anything about you as a person — it’s just the result of you trying something new. You are almost certainly going to have setbacks along the way, and that’s not failure — the only real failure is to not try at all.

Just bk from a really enjoyable early morning dog walk with my sponsor. I know AA isn't for everyone but for me being able to meet up and talk openly with somebody who has been there and understands has been an absolute god send. 50 days sober now and so grateful.#RecoveryPosse

So after 62 days sober the drink finally won. I thought i was ok and one glass wouldn't hurt but i was wrong, turned into a 5 day spree causing utter destruction. After a couple of days feeling like death, today i see hope. 3 days sober and ready to go again.#RecoveryPosse
