Geography, Environment & Planning at Herts research is going places with Smart Mobility Unit at UK House of Commons University of Hertfordshire

Day 2 of our Geography, Environment & Planning at Herts MSc Sustainable Planning and Transport Planning field trip. Caroline Radnor giving us a briefing outside Birmingham New Street to kick off the day for half the group.



The Smart Mobility Unit is looking forward to co-hosting the Geography in Practice Symposium: The Future of Rural Mobility with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) on 27 March 2024. Chaired by Professor Stephen Joseph the line up includes many expert speakers from around the UK Geography, Environment & Planning at Herts University of Hertfordshire

We are underway Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) with today’s Rural Mobility Symposium. Chair Professor Stephen Joseph set out ‘the current state of play & direction of travel’, with IanPhilips presenting on rural transport and the climate emergency 🆘 . Next up are Sylviya Barrett from the Campaign for Better Transport covering ‘the current state of public transport in rural areas’ followed by Beate Kubitz research fellow Smart Mobility Unit whose talk focuses on ‘DRT services in rural areas’.
