In some spare time this past week, I've been working on a digital painting. This one is of my dad, Curtis Fox, in his 19 wedge dirt late model in the mid-1980's getting a little bit sideways up on the high side at Tazewell Speedway.

The painting was started in Adobe Illustrator, then I took it over to Photoshop to draw all of the details and such with my Huion tablet. Here is a little bit of a look at the process.

Still in the hunt for a job. I’ve been doing pretty well filling the gaps with freelance graphic design stuff, but would love to find something more steady soon. Hopefully it will something that uses my education. Something will hopefully come along soon!

Tried out Trading Paints number builder, was pretty fun! Made this aggressive looking #15 with a sunset gradient much like my uncle hand lettered on one of their racecars back in the 90's. I'll be using playing around making numbers for a while! number.tradingpaints.com/showroom/819

11 years ago today, my name (Twitter handle) was on @dalejr’s car for the Dover race weekend for winning the #mychasenation contest.

I remember seeing a photo before the season started showing that the window net was open to sponsorship now. I have never seen anyone actually use it. Is the one with Thermal Control Products the first one to have it?
