Without throwing digital completely under the bus as that has it's place, the era of old school filmmaking with matte paintings, constructed sets & physical props & costumes will always prevail & AI can fuck off because that has no place in any media landscape.

If anyone is familiar with The Nikopol Trilogy, then this particular adaptation is incredibly obscure & it's a bizarre piece of work as well.

The medium used helps shape the final artwork created. A charcoal drawing is much different than an oil painting. A poem is very much different than an illustration drawn using pen and ink (I've done BOTH, including poems and illustrations that go together).

I drew Optimus Prime. He's also for sale. He exists in the physical world. On paper.

Today is going to be a challenge to find anywhere in Cambridge that does A3 scanning, because I've got artwork in need of completing & unfortunately my town doesn't have anywhere with an A3 scanner. Even my local library doesn't have one...

Art successfully scanned, but it's kind of frustrating now having to go further afield just to get an A3 page scanned.

In a different time, Satoshi Kon could have easily dominated the entire anime landscape & pushed the industry in a whole different direction after Paprika. But his passing is a reminder that directors like him are so few & far between nowadays...

I don't follow Indonesian Cinema that much, but the idea behind this looks really interesting and it really looks like something that deserves the hype.

The thing is, I LOVE Amphibia & it's probably one of the most enjoyable shows Disney has put out in recent years & "gender factor" has little to do with it. But we need to come to terms that Disney has become a shadow of their former self & we need to move on from them.

One of the most promising filmmakers working at the moment, however we can't overlook this as Kosinski really hit the ground running with this being his debut film.
