Your AI agent told a customer their refund was processed. It wasn't. Your dashboard stayed green the whole time. That's the observability crisis nobody's talking about.

i just spent half an hour asking opus 4.6 to "make this internal api ok for 2026" - i don't think i ever saw so much cleaning in 30' (very old ruby/sinatra api). insane

context-enriched data vs raw logs. The obvious take: clean data beats fancy models. But logs were never the right unit of understanding. You don't debug a system by reading its diary entries. You debug it by knowing how the pieces connect. Most o11y AI skips that part entirely.

new /loop command in claude code lets you tell claude to just sit there and watch for something. I pointed it at logs, told it to ping me when the event hit. delegating patience, turns out half of ops was always just waiting.

8.5 years of Icecast logs, ~15GB of raw access data, 7 million listener sessions parsed in minutes with Claude Code. rsync pipeline, SQLite schema, log parser. Spec'd in conversation, built on the server. Done. Woah.

AI doesn't create new dysfunction, it accelerates whatever dysfunction you already have. Build for the mess you actually have, not the org chart you wish you had.

Cancelled Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT today. $600/year saved during a spring cleaning spree. And my workflow didn't change at all.

Annie runs in your terminal now. Pipe kubectl, use it inside Claude Code, feed it anything. Same knowledge graph, no browser. brew install anyshift-io/tap/annie

The best teams are already collapsing this down to 2 jobs: 1. Front office: people who talk to customers and ship. 2. Back office: people who keep systems running. Don't tolerate "hot people" who can't ship, or "slop cannons" who can't talk to users directly.

I really loved the Bluecurve theme when Fedora Core 1 was released. Red Hat hired actual designers to build that unified theme. KDE folks were mad! The fonts and rendering were gorgeous too. Nice to see the theme still alive in this repo github.com/neeeeow/Bluecu…

We deliberately picked a boring incident to introduce Annie, our infra AI agent. Temporal workers stop polling. Bad env var. CrashLoopBackOff. Classic. Here's why even this one is a good demo. 🧵

Today I'll be talking with the Anyshift co-founders, Roxane Fischer and Stephane Jourdan, to discuss how an always-on #SRE agent can help you proactively find risks and avoid incidents. youtube.com/watch?v=-DHZwx… #devopsanddockertalk #agenticdevops #DevOps #AI #CloudInfrastructure
