This weekend, 2 of our cyclists took the ferry to Liverpool, to assist our CRU colleagues in England with the Guilden Sutton 10k road race and fun run. While there, they collected 3 bikes from our England colleagues, who have new bikes, this will bolster our fleet. Thank you CRU.

St John Ambulance (NI) were tasked at 1617hrs on 07/10/24 by NIAS to deploy our fleet of emergency ambulances & respond to the Major Incident bus crash scene outside Carrowdore, Co.Down. SJA NI deployed 20 emergency ambulances and 50 volunteers. Our thoughts are with those involved.

A real honour for our St John Ambulance England volunteers to be working with Culture Liverpool over the past week and this weekend delivering the medical provision for the visit of Royal Navy HMS Prince of Wales for their freedom of the city. Huge congratulations to the crew from us 👏

Sad news from colleagues in England yesterday. One of our members, is sadly no longer with us. An experienced member of CRU, and a loss to all. R.I.P

Some of us are lucky, in that our work acknowledges the sacrifices we give to help others. Although a small amount, 35 hours would help many who end up taking personal holidays, to volunteer.

Happy St Patrick's day weekend to all. This weekend the cycle team are running a course for new members, you may see us out around the Ormeau Road area. On Monday, we will have a team attending the parade in Belfast.

As some are aware, our cycling lead took part and finished a rather warm London marathon on Sunday. Not the best of conditions with the heat, and for many it turned into just getting to the finish line. SJA London CRU

This weekend we have a bike team out each day, covering the Belfast maritime festival 2025. If you see the team out, give them a wave, say hello. They will be more than happy to explain what they do. To the team this weekend.....thank you

Day one at the Emergency services show in Birmingham come and see our new e-bike police helmets .

Today, 6 of the team did their annual bike revalidation. A cheeky 10km cycle with coffee stop at the end, the incline from Ormeau Road back to Knockbracken, the cone drills and then the 1km bike sprint with CPR at the end. A great day out.
