Our paper on using two-photon interactions in a qudit quantum processor to realize novel quantum operations has been published on Nature Communications: tinyurl.com/mvab88as Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences Area Berkeley Lab Berkeley Physics UC Berkeley #TwoPhoton #Qudit #QuantumComputing #QuantumBenchmarking
My latest work with jarthurgross and T.J. Volkoff on Quantum error correction-inspired multiparameter quantum metrology has appeared on arXiv arxiv.org/abs/2409.16515
Prize Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Quantum Information and Control ! Center-wide postdocs collaborate broadly through the newly launched Quantum New Mexico Institute, a partnership of Univ. of New Mexico , Sandia National Labs and Los Alamos National Laboratory Apply here unm.csod.com/ux/ats/careers…
Congratulations to Matt Chow who defended his PhD Dissertation yesterday, "Scalable methods for performant control of hyperfine qubits in atoms and ions" supervised Sandia National Labs with Drs. Susan Clark and Yuan-Yu Jau. Great job Matt!
Can we convert atom loss to an erasure error for neutral atoms? In my latest work with Vikas Buchemmavari, Michael J. Martin, and Ivan Deutsch on arXiv arxiv.org/abs/2410.23430, we give a framework to do it.
Atom loss is detected during computation without disturbing the quantum state, an important task for long computations with neutral atoms. Sandia National Labs 🔗 go.aps.org/3Dd82lm
Our paper is published in PRX Quantum today! We explore how to deal with leakage errors and atom loss in Neutral atom systems. Great Collaboration with folks at Sandia, and UNM colleagues Sivaprasad Omanakuttan and Ivan Deutsch
I was thrilled to learn of Quantinuum’s expansion into New Mexico. This is a huge advance in our state's quantum technology development. We're super excited for the partnership with the Quantum New Mexico Institute Univ. of New Mexico. New Mexico is a Quantum State!
