Day 2 of our London District Catholic School Board Elementary Cross-Country Meets today had almost 1100 Grade 7/8 students taking part. We started the day by hearing from Tyler Waddilove, our Indigenous Student Success and Cultural Teacher, about what Orange Shirt Day means to him.
As part of their Health and Physical Education program, over 4000 Grade 7 and 8 students took part in our London District Catholic School Board Cross-Country Meets this week. Thanks to all educators who helped prepare the students and congrats to every student who participated in the races or the Fitness Walk.
It’s been a great first 3 days of the Carolinian Forest Festival at Springwater Conservation Area. This week, almost 2000 Grades 6 and 7 students are learning about forest ecosystems, species at risk, stewardship and conservation, and so much more! Thank you Kettle Creek CA 🌳🍃
This afternoon, Lolita, a Grade 8 student from St. Martin School delivered her incredible artwork to be displayed at City Hall in the office of Mayor Josh Morgan Congratulations Lolita, and thank you Josh Morgan, Ms. Wilson, and Mrs. Madgett for supporting this special opportunity.
The First Annual London District Catholic School Board Secondary Disc Golf Tournament was held this past week, with students from 5 schools coming together for a day of outdoor experiential learning - trying a new sport and enjoying some friendly competition!
Grade 7/8 students Blessed Sacrament enjoyed a guided community walk this week with Upper Thames River Conservation Authority identifying local environmental issues as part of the Green Leaders program. UTRCA Education

Over 250 Grades 4-6 students from 32 schools took part in our London District Catholic School Board Junior Girls Recreational Soccer Festival today. Thanks to all the educators and parent volunteers involved for providing the opportunity for these girls to play!
On Wednesday, 256 Grades 4-6 students took part in our London District Catholic School Board Junior Boys Recreational Soccer Festival. Big thanks to the CCH Athletics LEAP students for being our referees!
And that’s a wrap on our Have a Go Boccia sessions for this year. We visited 6 schools and introduced the sport to over 340 Grades 2-8 students. Thank you London Cannonballs for being such amazing Boccia Ambassadors! Looking forward to our London District Catholic School Board Boccia Tournament on November 18.
Congratulations to St. Andre Bessette Grade 12 student Elona, and thank you to Ms. Bain and Mayor Josh Morgan for providing the opportunity to showcase her artwork at London’s City Hall for the next month. Elona’s piece being displayed is part of a collection inspired by her memories.
