Congress Punjab’s lack of ideology helps them tremendously; makes local candidates seem more autonomous. Candidates like Khaira, Channi, Warring and Dharamvir Gandhi have essentially nothing in common.

Professor Puran Singh can be described as one of the first Punjabi romanticists. His conversion to Buddhism was steeped in awe of Gandharan civilisation, his university experience based of a romanticism of Taxila and his reconversion to Sikhism as a reflection of Punjabiyat.

Professor Puran Singh on Bhai Vir Singh: ‘Bhai Vir Singh is an epoch in himself. With him begins the most modern Punjabi language; he gives it a new style, a new rhythm and a new flow. He is a true Eastern genius, still loyal to Asiatic ideals of art, philosophy and religion.’

Our future plan for The Khalsa Chronicle seems to be to publish a month worth of articles followed by a month break to avoid burnout/poor quality writing, and so on. Thoughts?

The ‘Singpa Khache’ are a community of Tibetan Muslims that descend from prisoners of war from Zorawar Singh’s Kashmiri regiment, serving under Sarkar-i-Khalsa. ‘Singpa’ is a Tibetan term that was used for Sikhs (and also Dogras)

An apt sequel to my previous article on the Vaikom Satyagraha. Here I used various Malayalam sources to together a collective account for the history of Ezhava Sikhs. Feel free to share any thoughts below.
