We had a great day at Welsh Parliament talking to Senedd Members about #LearningDisabilityWeek and the work of Learning Disability Wales and Gig Buddies Cymru 👩🏾‍🎤👨🏽‍🎤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Thank you to our amazing trustee Georgia for joining us, Julie Morgan MS for sponsoring us and everyone who stopped to chat.

Wales is bound by law to be a globally responsible nation. I called on the First Minister to confirm whether our military bases are being used to train Israeli soldiers, and to take action to ensure Wales is not complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Labour in Wales didn't even ask for the money we're owed because they didn't have plans in place. Over 26 years in power in Wales, Labour have continuously let our communities down. Plaid Cymru will never settle for less than what is fair.

Today Richie from Gig Buddies Cymru 👩🏾‍🎤👨🏽‍🎤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 spoke at the Cross Party Group on Learning Disability chaired by Sioned Williams AS/MS 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. The meeting was held at Welsh Parliament and on Zoom. Richie talked about his work, his love of music and his aim to go to 100 gigs this year.

It’s #LearningDisabilityWeek and this year’s theme is “Do you see me?” In the Senedd today I spoke about how being visible leads to understanding, understanding leads to inclusion, and inclusion leads to real change.
