#TheInvisibleRisk seminar was incredible; thank you to all of the amazing speakers, exhibitors & delegates. The risk of cancer to all responders is scientifically proven. Whether you’re a firefighter, police officer, or paramedic, it’s crucial to understand and be aware.

We are taking part in a podcast recording today to promote greater contaminant awareness for fire investigators, CSI teams. Carcinogens respect no one, the fire being out still leaves a huge risk and correct cleaning and the right PPE still matters. Happy to support the request.

Last week we wrapped up another fantastic Emergency Planning course, welcoming delegates from the UK & Gibraltar. Huge thanks to tutors Jim and Tommy for their stellar work, and to all our delegates for their input and efforts.

My thoughts today are with all those impacted by the awful events which took place on the 7th of July 2005, hard to believe this was now 19 years ago, but for many the physical and mental wounds will feel as fresh as it was yesterday.

John has spent two weeks in the beautiful Seychelles, delivering incident management training to a great group of officers. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated for their hard work and warm hospitality. We look forward to returning soon!

We welcome the use #SNOMEDCT by NHS England for and look forward to NI, Scotland, Wales following suit. These codes are used in medical records to flag that you have been in contact with carcinogenic material. An important step forward for #firefighters
